About Us

As the world continuously evolves, so are the typical norms in our society. More and more couples are finding creative ways to make their wedding day more authentic and sometimes that means having their dog be a part of their big day. If you asked us 10 years ago if we thought this idea would become a part of the new norm, we would have said, “No way!”. But here we are. Sit, Wag, & Wed was founded on the principle that all couples should be able to celebrate their marriage with everyone they love in attendance.

We always work together as a team during the planning process and also on the big day. We view ourselves as another important vendor with the goal to make your wedding day run as smoothly as possible. With that in mind, we work closely with your wedding planner and photographer to ensure your pup is in the right place at the right time. When it’s not showtime, we’ll make sure he or she has some downtime from their hard work, is kept entertained, and will be ready to strike a pose & strut down the aisle when it’s go-time.

Meet the Owners

Hi! We are Alexis & Curtis! We are Chicago transplants originally from Atlanta, GA. We have two fur babies, Gracie and Wade, who we adore and are our inspiration for starting Sit, Wag, & Wed. We both graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) with degrees in Family Financial Planning. No, we did not meet or cross paths in college, but it didn’t take long after until we found each other. We are now currently planning our own wedding for June 2024! When we’re not working our 9-5’s or making wedding day dreams come true, you can find us at local coffee shops, trying fun restaurants and bars, or making memories across the world.

Meet the Muses

Hi, I’m Gracie! Mom adopted me at 10 weeks old from Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter (MOAS) in Athens, GA when she was just a sophomore in college. Why she did that, I don’t know, but here we are thriving almost 10 years later together! I love chasing tennis balls around the house, strutting my stuff in the Chicago wind, and Dad, who is now my best friend.

Hello! I’m mom’s handsome boy, Wade, or Wadey Boy as they like to call me! Mom adopted me when I was just a wee little toddler (2.5 years old) from a home that needed to provide more attention to human babies. Now, I’m a big boy who loves cuddle time, running into Sister, and walking around with some sort of toy in my mouth 24/7. Meeting new friends is one of my favorite things to do!
